ARSENAL pile the misery on Newcastle with a 3-0 win at the Emirates, as the Magpies record a sixth successive defeat.
The Gunners doubled their lead with three minutes to go until the break, Mesut Ozil was placed perfectly to tap in a rebound after Krul denied Olivier Giroud twice from point blank range.
Arsenal then put the game beyond any doubt after Ozil delivered an inviting cross for Giroud, who powered a header home from an unmissable position.
Arsene Wenger's side are now four points clear of fifth-placed Everton in their bid to secure a Champions League qualifying position.
