Allardyce is under pressure at the Hammers with seven defeats in nine games and the club still not safe from relegation.
West Ham's 2,700 travelling supporters viciously turned on Allardyce in the 1-0 defeat at West Brom in full view and hearing of owners David Sullivan and David Gold.
Sullivan would not comment.
"I am not saying anything now. We'll discuss it at the end of the season as we always do," said Sullivan as he headed for his chauffer driven red Rolls Royce with its WHU number plate waiting outside The Hawthorns.
But the Spurs game has become critical for Allardyce who has another year on his contract.
A West Ham banner said 'Fat Sam Out, Killing WHU' and there were streams of foul abuse as he stood on the touchline, with his substitutions derided.
Sullivan and Gold are very aware of the fans' bad feeling towards Allardyce.
But they also cannot fault him because he has achieved what the board have asked, getting promotion, keeping the club up last season and on the verge of doing it again.
The traditional end-of-season debrief and planning will go ahead at Sullivan's palatial home in Essex, but he and Gold are likely to make a judgement after the Spurs game.
A win would give West Ham three victories over Tottenham in a season, something they have never achieved, and how the supporters react to Allardyce if that happens will be key to the board's decision.
"We've had preliminary discussions about next season but all of those have been on hold for the last four games," said Allardyce.
"At that stage, we were on 37 points and we all said just pick up another couple of points and we can really look to plan for next season. Four games down the line, we're still searching for the points we were hoping we were going to get sooner rather than later."
Albion, at the end of a torrid season on and off the pitch, are almost safe, something made more certain when Saido Berahino’s goal won this game.
The first home win of Mel’s reign gives him a current run of two wins and two draws out of six games. Hardly startling but leading him along the path he was asked to take, keeping West Brom in the Premier League.WEST BROMWICH ALBION (4-4-2): Foster 7 ; Reid 6 (Morrison 45, 6), Dawson 6, Olsson 6, Jones 6; Brunt 6, Dorrans 6, Mulumbu 7, Amalfitano 6; Berahino 6 (Yacob 90, 5), Sessegnon 8 (Anichebe 81, 5)
