Arsenal are currently clinging on to fourth place - and qualification for next season's Champions League - by a single point from Everton.
And while the Gunners appear to have their destiny in their own hands with three games remaining, Ozil has urged his teammates not to let things slip.
He said: "Another CL-night. Watching a lot of friends on TV. We have to play CL again next season. #championsleague #realmadrid"
Watching a lot of friends on TV. We have to play CL again next season.
Ozil, of course, played at Real Madrid for three seasons before making a £42.5m move to the Emirates this summer and remains close with many of the Spanish giant's players.
But as a German international Ozil still has close ties to a number of the Bayern players as well.
And while the 25-year-old's hashtag appeared to suggest he was supporting his former team ahead of the club from his homeland, what Ozil really wants is to be playing in the competition with Arsenal again next season.
