JOSE MOURINHO has reiterated his desire to see out his managerial career at Chelsea.
And ahead of Chelsea's crunch Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid tomorrow night (7:45pm), the Portuguese insists he wants to remain at the west London club for life.
"My future is Chelsea and Chelsea decides when it's time to stop our relationship," Mourinho said. "It's Chelsea that decides not me.
"I want to stay forever. When Chelsea decides it's time to stop then it's time for me to think about my future."
Mourinho revealed his respect for Chelsea's European opponents, who he came up against for three years in charge at the Bernabeu.
I want to stay forever. When Chelsea decides it's time to stop then it's time for me to think about my future
"I have respect for what they are doing because to be in the Champions League semi-final is not for every club and to have the possibility to win La Liga over Barcelona and Real Madrid is something that deserves my respect.
"Maybe my experience [in the competition] helps me to sleep tonight but it is a game of small details. Maybe one goal will be the difference.
"They are not a counter-attacking side. They are a good side who defend well. They score goals and they win matches. They are in the semi-final of the Champions League and they need two victories to be champions in Spain.
"It's not fair to analyse them in such a [negative] way and it's fair to say they are a very good team."
