Formby Hall, in Southport, Merseyside, was trending on Twitter last night as Chelsea fans suggested ways to prevent their rivals from having an early night.
Suggestions included an all-night party, fireworks and a giant boom box.
One fan posted a picture of themselves dressed as a ghost, marked "Garcia" – a reference to Luis Garcia's "ghost" goal in the 2005 Champions League semi-final.
Although the party never quite happened, a video apparently showing a receptionist struggling to answer the hotel's phones, which would not stop ringing.

Fans reportedly spent all night calling the hotel, attempting to be put through to the players.
The 250 acre Formby estate holds the lavish 16 century house as well as a spa and golf course.
Jose Mourinho's men are facing Liverpool in a crunch match this afternoon as Liverpool could find themselves securing the title.
The Reds currently have a five-point lead in the Barclays Premier League, meaning a win against Chelsea would leave them untouchable by anyone except Manchester City.
