TOWIE hottie re-enacts Dirty Dancing scene with Danielle Armstrong

IT'S one of the most famous scenes in film history and Dan Osborne has just about nailed it.
The TOWIE hottie made us go a little bit weak at the knees when we spotted new snaps of him performing the infamous Dirty Dancing move with co-star Danielle Armstrong.

Channelling his inner Patrick Swayze, Jacqueline Jossa's boyfriend showed off his impressive strength while frolicking in the pool in Marbella.
Managing to look (almost) as hot as Ryan Gosling in Crazy, Stupid, Love, the yummy daddy lifted a bikini-clad Danielle high above his head.
James Lock's on-off girlfriend (bit awkward) also held a skilful pose as she held tightly onto Dan's bulging biceps.
The pair had an audience of clearly impressed TOWIE girls who happily watched on from the sidelines.

Since the Marbella trip, Dan has confirmed he and EastEnders actress Jacqueline have reignited their romance.
The pair flirted with each other on Twitter while he was in Marbs and have since been flaunting their new found romance with a number of cute snaps.
Yesterday, the Essex hunk and his pretty girlfriend hit the shops in Hertfordshire as they both enjoyed time away from their busy filming schedules.
Looking comfortable with one another, Dan wore a black vest top and cut off joggers while Jacqueline opted for leggings and an oversized jumper.

KNOW HOW: How to choose a good sports bra #TheElitePartyInJuly #IRepEntertain9jarBlog via

YOU'VE worn in your new trainers, fine-tuned your workout playlists and even found the perfect leggings – but do you wear the right sports bra?

Painful breasts from not wearing a sports bra is one reason why many women are put off exercising [POSED BY MODEL/GETTY]
Wearing the wrong bra when exercising could damage your breasts, experts are warning.
Meanwhile, a survey this week found that one in five women don't exercise specifically of the problems of supporting their bust. Not only does a lack of support feel uncomfortble and ungainly, it can cause long-term problems as there are no muscles in the breasts so the ligaments absorbing most of the shock can be permanently stretched.
But a well-fitting sports bra could mean the difference between a productive session or one that has to be cut short due to aches and humiliating chest-bounce. With boobs supported well against the body, it is much easier – and less painful – to dash, duck and dive.
Dr Joanna Scurr, a specialist in breast health at the University of Portsmouth, said: “Our research has shown that independent breast movement can cause pain, embarrassment, changes in performance and ultimately can deter women from exercising. "It also shows that exercising without appropriate breast support may lead to stretching of the supporting structures of the breast. I hope that this initiative will help raise women’s awareness of the importance of wearing a sports bra when exercising.”
Dr Scurr, who works with the brand Shock Absorber, gives her top five tips for choosing a sports bra...
A sports bra is the best prevention against embarrassing slips or bounces when in the gym [POSED BY MODEL/GETTY]
1. FIRM FIT
You need a firmly fixed underband, the stretchy part of the bra beneath the breasts. There should a maximum of two inches pull back in between the band and the back.
Another trick is to jump around and see where it sits, it should be level all the way around

2. SMOOTH CUP
For the perfect cup there should be no bulging, gaping or wrinkling of the material.

3. SNUG STRAPS
Adjust shoulder straps so they feel secure. You shouldn't be able to pull the straps any more than two inches from your body.
4. STERNUM CHECK
Check that the front part of the sports bra sits flat on the sternum (the top of the breast bone, beneath the front of the bust). If it lifts or rides up that is an indication the cup size is too small.

5. THE RIGHT WIRES
Any underwiring should rest on the rib cage, supporting the breast, and not on the breast tissue itself.

North Korea brands new Hollywood comedy an 'act of war' #TheElitePartyInJuly #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

THE world's most secretive state has warned the US it will face a "stern" and "merciless" retaliation if it does not block the release of an upcoming Hollywood movie.

North Korea's communist government has branded a new American comedy about a plot to assassinate its leader, Kim Jong Un, as an "act of war".
The Interview stars Seth Rogen and James Franco as a producer and talk-show host who land an exclusive interview with the North Korean dictator and are then asked by the CIA to assassinate him.
However, a spokesman for North Korea's foreign ministry railed against the "reckless US provocative insanity" of a "gangster filmmaker", saying the film was causing a "a gust of hatred and rage" among the state's population.
The film's release would be considered an "act of war that we will never tolerate," he added.

With no independent press of its own, North Korea often holds foreign governments responsible for the content of their media.
Pyongyang regularly warns South Korea to prevent its conservative press from mocking or criticising its leadership, something banned within authoritarian North Korea, where the Kim family is revered.
Trailers have been released for the movie, co-directed by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, which is set to hit cinemas in October.
The current leader's late father, Kim Jong Il, was a noted movie buff, lauded in the North for writing a treatise on film.
He also ordered the kidnapping of prolific South Korean director and producer Shin Sang-ok in 1978, who then spent years making movies for Kim before escaping.

Splashing the cash: Kate and Wills kitchen refurbishment cost The Queen £4.5million #TheElitePartyInJuly #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

REFURBISHING Kensington Palace for William and Kate has cost the Queen £4.5million over the past two years.

But it could have been more if her accountants had not asked the couple to cover the cost of a new kitchen. The Cambridges have also paid for furniture and fittings.
A royal source said: “Some of the fit-out we felt should be paid for privately. The Cambridges have been extremely sensitive to the fact that public funds were paying for a lot of this work.”
The apartment was “not opulent” said the source, without revealing how much the new kitchen cost.

Britons must halve sugar intake to avoid obesity, say experts #TheElitePartyInJuly #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

MILLIONS of Britons will have to halve their sugar intake to meet new guidelines to be considered by the Government.

sugar, obesity, fizzy drinks, diabetes, type 2, drinking, nutrition, fat, health, weight, One can of fizzy drink contains a person's proposed entire daily allowance [PA]
In a bid to fight obesity, scientists advising the Department of Health say one can of fizzy drink will contain a person’s proposed entire daily allowance.
The Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN) says exceeding current guides is a major reason for obesity which is fuelling a rise in Type 2 diabetes. It wants the recommendation that no more than 10 per cent of daily energy intake should come from “free” or added sugar to be cut to five per cent.
Currently men should eat no more than 35grams – or eight teaspoons of sugar – a day, with women limited to 25 grams. The draft report calls on people to cut down on cakes, biscuits and sweets, but sugary drinks are considered the worst menace. One 330ml can of fizzy drink can contain a typical adult’s proposed five per cent daily energy intake allowance.

High sugar intake in adults is associated with increased energy intake and risk of obesity
Professor Ian Macdonald, SACN
Dr Alison Tedstone, chief nutritionist at Public Health England, said: “There is something about sugar-sweetened drinks that will make you more likely to over-consume calories. Adolescents are having fizzy drinks every single day.”
Professor Ian Macdonald of the SACN said: “High sugar intake in adults is associated with increased energy intake and risk of obesity.
“There is an association between sugar-sweetened beverage intake and Type 2 diabetes in children. There is a clear demonstration that sugar-sweetened beverage intake is associated with weight gain.”
The report follows a call earlier this week from Professor Tom Sanders of King’s College London for fruit juice and fizzy drinks to be banished from the family dinner table and replaced by water.
The British Soft Drinks Association said the industry has “dramatically increased” the range of low and no calorie options.
The report has been put out for a public consultation with new government guidelines possibly being set next spring.

'She should be sterilised' – Katie Hopkins unleashes cruellest rant yet at Josie Cunningham #TheElitePartyInJuly #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

It's not just celebrities on the receiving end of her poisoned pen

KATIE Hopkins admits that one of her favourite pastimes is "destroying people with a few well-chosen words".
And as if to prove a point, she's chosen more than a few words for her latest victim, Josie Cunningham.
Josie – who made headlines for having a boob job on the NHS, and more recently came under fire for smoking while pregnant – is the latest victim of Ms Hopkins' poisoned pen.

Writing in her column in The Sun in her usual, understated style, Katie ranted: "Josie is smoking her way through pregnancy and says she will continue unless we pay for her to stop. I suggest we pay for her to be sterilised."
"Josie is short for Josephine," continued Katie, who recently has also poked fun at Kim Kardashian, Kelly Brook and Lily Allen.
"Josephine means lucky. But with a face like Josie's lucky is not a word I would choose.

"Josie has the sort of IQ where you have to be taught to use Velcro or drink through a straw. Shown her own reflection, Josie would need to be introduced."
Why don't you just say what you feel, Katie?
Meanwhile, Katie also had a rant at those who use the NHS for cosmetic reasons, pointing out: "I would never ask the NHS to do anything other than stitch me up and put me back together.

The tooth hurts! Giant billboard appears in London mocking Luis Suarez #TheElitePartyInJuly #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

LUIS SUAREZ has found out the tooth hurts after a giant billboard appeared in London mocking the Liverpool striker.

The huge sign, erected by Paddy Power in Lambeth, shows the Uruguay player grinning gummily next to the caption: "Sorted".

Underneath it suggests that punters place their bets on who he will bite next.
The 27-year-old footballer was today handed a nine-game ban after Fifa found him guilty of biting Italy defender Georgio Chiellini during their World Cup clash.
The suspension is in place for nine international matches including Uruguay's last-16 match against Colombia on Saturday, also banning him from playing in any game for four months.
FIFA confirmed Suarez's ban at a press conference held at the Maracana Stadium today.
Claudio Sulser, the chairman of the FIFA disciplinary committee, added: "Such behaviour cannot be tolerated on any football pitch, and in particular not at a FIFA World Cup when the eyes of millions of people are on the stars on the field."

It is the third time the Liverpool forward has been punished for biting fellow players.
His on-pitch antics have provided ample material for internet spoofs videos and Photoshopped pictures.
Some choice ones have depicted the player as Jaws, Hannibal Lecter, a zombie and a muzzled dog.
Many football fans took to Twitter to joke about the most recent biting incident.
User The Swiines wrote: "Nice to see suarez has signed a new deal with fixadent, to keep those nashers in tight!"

Another user, klubbkid said: "I don’t see why the need for a ban. FIFA could have just made sure they muzzled Luis Suarez for matches."
Boothby Graffoe hints at the similarities between Suarez and Dracula with his tweet, which read: "Don’t want to worry the locals but there's a rumour going round that Luis Suarez has just bought Carfax Abbey in Whitby."
The viral 'Charlie bit my finger' video has also been adapted for the Uruguayan chomper.

He said: "When she is concentrating well, she really enjoy playing.
"She plays football at least once a week so she keeps very active.

Prince Harry echoes Diana as he reaches out to recovering drug addicts in Brazil #TheElitePartyInJuly #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

PRINCE Harry echoed his late mother's concern to reach out to the dispossessed today when he met recovering crack addicts in Brazil's most notorious drugs den.

The fourth in line to the throne asked to visit Cracolandia Crackland a rundown block of streets in central SĂŁo Paulo, where junkies sleeping on soiled mattresses in the street buy sticks of crack for 80p, cheaper than a cup of coffee.
Mobbed by addicts, he shook their hands and heard their stories of a descent into a life of hell among homeless people described by one city official as "the walking dead".
Harry, 29, went there to hear about a controversial programme, launched by authorities in the city of 19 million, to give food, hostel beds, work and healthcare to the addicts in an attempt to wean them off drugs and cut crime.
Since January, the number of addicts sleeping out on the streets nightly has been cut from 2,500 to around 200 under the Open Arms project.
Crack cocaine consumption in the area has come down by 70 per cent and the number of robberies has reduced by 40 per cent, as the authorities have taken a lenient view towards users but hit dealers hard, arresting more than 100 of them.
"You see these walking dead people here but in other streets you can walk safely," Leonardo Barchini, municipal secretary at SĂŁo Paulo city council said.
As a gang of drug dealers looked down on chaotic scenes below from a first floor window, Harry chatted to a group of recovering addicts paid £4 a day to clean the streets as part of the programme.
You should not be embarrassed because you have realised your mistakes and are making them better
Prince Harry
One woman told him she had cut her crack use to weekends only.
"Monday morning I'm in work mode," she said.
"But I cannot just quit 100 per cent."
Harry told her: "You must be very relieved that your children did not make the same mistakes that you did."
She replied: "I am actually embarrassed as the mother of my children."
But Harry said: "You should not be embarrassed because you have realised your mistakes and are making them better."
Inside the cleaning depot, a crowd of street cleaners in their green and yellow uniforms some with tattoos, some missing most of their teeth pushed to get close to Harry.
One woman in sunglasses managed to get him to pose for a picture with her.
Among the cleaners, who all still used crack, was Diana das Neves, 25, who had arranged her hair in braids especially for Harry's visit.
"I have seen Harry on TV and I really like him," she said.
"It's because of Diana.

"That's my name too."
She said she first took crack when she was 14, and spent seven years in Cracolandia begging and scavenging for scrap to recycle before she entered the programme this year.
"I thank God that my life has changed completely," she said.
"I'm using much less crack than before.
"I can to two or three days without it.
"I am married, and I want to have children.
"The moment that I get pregnant I will quit.
"I've made the first step already."
At an open-air health centre, which provides food, showers, toilets, and basic medical assistance for between 200 and 300 addicts each day, the Prince, who dabbled with marijuana when he was 16, met recovering addict Evandro Martins da Silva Junior.
Evandro, 28, who is still smoking crack but has cut his use, works in a mobile library for other addicts.
He told Harry about his life and and how the Open Arms project was helping to put him on the road to recovery.
A high school drop out, he was playing drums in a rock band and teaching music to make a living when a famous musician got him hooked on crack after taking him to Cracolandia.

On his tour of Brazil he has celebrated cultural links between the World Cup host nation and Britain but, like his mother Princess Diana, he has been keen to understand the seamier side of the nation's life.
Brazil has more than a million crack users, roughly one per cent of the adult population.

Q. MY friend’s 11-year-old black labrador has been behaving out of character for the past few weeks. She is at her worst at night when she roams round the house, up and down the stairs and walks into corners. Can dogs suffer from dementia?
This is a problem I have seen many times before but it is only recently that it has been properly described and named. It is called canine cognitive dysfunction and shares many features with dementia in people.
Apart from the signs you describe, others commonly include circling, failure to recognise family and simple commands such as “sit”, staring into space, disorientation when out walking and a breakdown of normal house-training. This is often the final straw that prompts owners to seek help.
The cause is unknown, although development of plaques in the brain, as in Alzheimer’s disease in humans, may occur.
The diagnosis is generally made on clinical grounds but it is important to rule out other diseases such as kidney or bladder problems.
A physical examination with blood and urine tests will be necessary. An MRI scan of the brain could be advised if a brain tumour is suspected. Selgian, a pill that is taken once a day, has been found to be very helpful in many cases. Another drug Vivitonin promotes better circulation and has been used often with old dogs.
I would advise a check-up with the vet to discuss whether these drugs might help.

The Prince’s soaring travel costs, up from £644,000 in 2012 to more than £1.3million last year, reflected his increasing workload as the Queen gradually reduces hers.
Possibly the most expensive individual journey was his £246,000 return flight to Mthatha in South Africa, hurriedly arranged so that he could attend the funeral of Nelson Mandela last December.
His visit to India with the Duchess of Cornwall cost £434,000 and bill for the couple’s trip to the Middle East on an official Foreign Office visit was £245,000.
His travel bills are picked up by his mother and by the Foreign Office.
Prince Charles’ bill for supporting his sons, the Duchess of Cambridge and grandson Prince George is more than £1million.
Although officials at Clarence House will not reveal exactly how much the young Royals need for their official duties, the accounts show that the “other expenditure” section covering those bills as well as capital expenditure soared by £800,000 last year to £2.8million.

VIDEO: She didn't forecast that! Funny moment when weather girl takes a tumble live on TV #TheElitePartyInJuly #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

SURELY a weather forecaster should be able to predict the embarrassment that can happen when high heels are teamed with live television?

Unfortunately for this presenter, her towering shoes got the better of her as she stepped backwards and lost her footing during her broadcast.
The woman - who was wearing a white blouse, blue skirt and nude high heels - was just beginning her segment on Saudi-owned news channel Al Arabiya when the hilarious incident happened.

She fought a losing balancing act and fell to the floor before the camera swiftly cut away to two news anchors who struggled to hide their sniggers.
However, this moment is far from the first embarrassing incident to happen to a weather forecaster.
BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood accidentally told her viewers to expect scorching temperatures of 99°C, while a German weather girl caught a fit of uncontrollable giggles during her broadcast.

'Newsnight made by idealistic 13-year-olds' blasts Jeremy Paxman #TheElitePartyInJuly #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

FORMER Newsnight presenter Jeremy Paxman has said the flagship BBC politics programme is made by idealistic "13-year-olds", according to reports.

Jeremy Paxman worked on Newsnight fotr 25 years before standing down this month[PA]
Paxman, who made his final appearance on the show earlier this month after 25 years, said his Conservative leanings left him a lone voice among young producers hoping to "change the world".
The veteran broadcaster, famed for his uncompromising interviewing style, said his political experience led to him becoming a "one-nation Tory" who believes idealism is a "fool's errand".
Paxman, 64, made the rant while answering questions from an audience at the Chalke Valley History Festival yesterday, as he promoted his new book about the First World War.
He was quizzed about his tandem bike ride through the streets of London with Boris Johnson, which featured in his final episode of Newsnight.
During the show, the Mayor of London described Paxman - who has had to remain politically neutral during his journalism career - as the "last" one-nation Tory working at the BBC.

"I have to be frank, I suppose I am a one-nation Tory, yes," Paxman reportedly said.
"Look, Newsnight is made by 13-year-olds. It's perfectly normal when you're young that you want to change the world.

"The older you get, the more you realise what a fool's errand much of that is and that the thing to do is to manage the best you can to the advantage of as many people as possible."
Paxman, who still presents University Challenge, refused to be drawn on whether he was indeed the last Conservative at the BBC, saying: "I think I'll plead the fifth on that one."
His comments come after a disastrous period for Newsnight in recent years, including, most notably, high-profile and damaging errors linked to the the Jimmy Savile scandal.
But Paxman became well-known for his grilling of guests during a quarter of a century spell as host.

Jeremy Paxman
During one notorious interview in 1997 he asked Tory ex-Home Secretary Michael Howard the same question 12 times when the MP failed to give direct answers about alleged gaffes within the prison service.
His famed grumpy demeanour was also on show in 2005 when Newsnight's editor decided to broadcast brief weather forecasts instead of financial reports.
Paxman openly ridiculed the decision on air, saying: "And for tonight's weather – it's April, what do you expect?"
More recently he clashed with comedian Russell Brand during a tough exchange on the programme.

Speaking at yesterday's public event, he said on the topic of modern politics: "I am in favour of governments getting out of people's lives. Particularly foreign government.
"The closer you can take decision-making to the people affected by those decisions, the better."
Europe had been the source of "nothing but trouble for us", Paxman said, joking that Belgium was a "pointless little country".
Alongside his TV commitments, Paxman is due to appear in a one-man show at the Edinburgh Festival this summer and his new book, Britain's Great War, is out now

SPOTTED: Cheeky Scotland fan jubilant with Uruguay fans as England lose World Cup match #TheElitePartyInJuly #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

AS England licked their wounds, this Scotland fan was jubilant at Uruguay's World Cup victory last night.

Mark McConville was spotted by millions of viewers cheering and waving a Saltire among the Uruguay fans.
Images of Mr McConville, 41, an engineer from Glasgow, have now gone viral after Luis Suarez all but ended England's dreams of World Cup triumph.
According to the Telegraph he decided to travel to the World Cup despite his beloved Scotland failing to qualify.
He was seen jumping up and down in the air celebrating the Uruguayan victory.
Wearing a Scotland shirt and a See You Jimmy hat he waved his Scottish flag with elation as Uruguay striker Suarez sent England home.
Family in Scotland shared their delight on Facebook. One relative wrote: “At last a famous McConville!” Others have described him as a "hero".
Tweeting beneath a picture of McConville, Paul Hamilton said: "This is my brother-in-law's brother! Hero."
Mr McConville's parents Andy, 69, and Isabell, 66, from Glasgow, said they recognised their son on the TV immediately. Mrs McConville said: "I was watching the match with my family and we were looking out for him as we knew he would be there.
"It hapened so fast - the camera just goes round the crowd and then we saw him. I suppose it is a bit odd but he always thought he would be on television."
Others were less than impressed and many took to social media to voice their displeasure.
Jordan Conte said on Twitter: "What a sad life this chap leads", while Ross Clark joked: "I see Alex Salmond placed a Scottish guy among the Uruguay fans."
McConville, an avid Scotland fan and engineer for Mercedes AMG, decided to support Uruguay when Scotland failed to reach South Africa in 2010. He once claimed to have kissed 500 Uruguayan girls after the penalty shootout that saw the team into the semi-finals four years ago.
He is currently doing charity work in Brazil.

Briton mistaken for World Cup referee who disallowed crucial goal bombarded on Facebook #TheElitePartyInJuly #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

A BRITON has been bombarded with messages from angry football fans after being mistaken on Facebook for a World Cup referee who incorrectly disallowed a crucial goal

Facebook, Peter O'Leary, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Nigeria, World Cup, World Cup 2014A Briton has been bombarded on Facebook after being mistaken for a World Cup referee[FACEBOOK & GETTY]
Peter O'Leary was mistaken for the New Zealand official of the same name who chalked off a pivotal strike scored by Bosnian star Edin Dzeko in their match with Nigeria.

The ref did not allow the goal from the Manchester City striker because he thought the player was offside but replays showed the 28-year-old was, in fact, onside.

The decision meant Bosnia & Herzegovina lost 1-0 to the African side and failed to qualify for the next round in Brazil.

The official has since received death threats - which are being investigated by police - and 23,000 people have signed a petition calling on him to quit.

And the Briton who shares his name has posted an appeal on his Facebook page saying he is not the Fifa ref after being flooded with angry messages.

People of Bosnia and Herzegovina, before sending me messages, please read this: I am not the referee from New Zealand
Peter O'Leary
He wrote: "People of Bosnia and Herzegovina, before sending me messages, please read this: I am not the referee from New Zealand.

"This is a polite, open message to ALL BOSNIANS, both in BiH and around the world, who have been sending me messages about the Bosnia Herzegovina football team being eliminated by Nigeria in the World Cup.

"I share the same name as the referee for that game. He is from New Zealand, but I am from England.

"I WILL REPEAT THIS AGAIN. I am NOT THE REFEREE who disallowed Edin Dzeko's perfectly legitimate goal."

The actual official caused further anger after a picture emerged of him laughing with supporters following the crucial win for Nigeria.

The Kiwi, who is a school teacher who officiates in the A-League, is said said to be "hurting and upset" over the controversy.

Briton Mr O'Leary added: "By a terrible coincidence I am actually a great admirer of both Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Bosnian people.

"I have been to this wonderfully hospitable, heart-shaped land a few times, travelled all over and met some truly wonderful people. BiH is truly in my heart and ALWAYS will be.

"The football team's cruel loss to Nigeria has devastated me as much as any Bosnian football fan.

"I have been following Bosnia's football team all the way and I will continue to do so.

"As you can see from my cover picture here on Facebook, I have the picture of the Stari Most in Mostar, a city I have been to on three occasions and one that is close to my heart.

"THAT picture has been on my timeline long before Bosnia-Herzegovina played their first game in the World Cup.

"So I am not a "new" fan of the country. I hope this long explanation clears things up.

"I am still quite happy to make friends with Bosnian people from around the world. It's an easy mistake to make. I actually doubt that the REAL referee with my name even has any time for Facebook, to be honest."

50 questioned in probe over 'inappropriate advances' of Princess Diana case police chief #TheElitePartyInJuly #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

MORE than 50 people have been quizzed over allegations that a police chief, who played a key role investigating Princess Diana’s death, made “inappropriate advances” to staff.

Chief constable Nick Gargan was a detective based at the British Embassy in Paris when Diana was killed in a car crash in 1997.
It is alleged as the £148,000-a-year head of Avon and Somerset Police, he “abused his senior position by making inappropriate advances to more junior female members of staff”.
Those questioned have provided “information and intelligence” over Mr Gargan, 47, who was suspended last month after two people made official complaints against him on behalf of other women.
The investigation centres on allegations that he abused his senior position by making inappropriate advances to more junior female members of staff over a period of time. The allegations were originally raised by two members of staf
IPCC spokeswoman
Mr Gargan, who worked for the now defunct National Criminal Intelligence Service, was at the heart of the investigation into the car crash which also claimed the lives of Diana’s boyfriend Dodi Fayed and their chauffeur Henri Paul.
He was made a chief constable in March last year.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission confirmed that the 50 people spoken to by the inquiry team so far are not complainants.
Mr Gargan denies behaving inappropriately and has yet to be interviewed.
He was suspended by Sue Mountstevens, Avon and Somerset police and crime commissioner who appointed him as chief constable.
An IPCC spokeswoman said yesterday: “The IPCC investigation into the conduct of Nick Gargan is continuing.
“The investigation centres on allegations that he abused his senior position by making inappropriate advances to more junior female members of staff over a period of time.
“The allegations were originally raised by two members of staff.
“Over 50 individuals from Avon and Somerset Constabulary, have provided information and intelligence to the IPCC and have been spoken to.
“Mr Gargan has been served with a gross misconduct notice and we would anticipate that he will be interviewed by investigators once the information we have gathered has been analysed.”
Mr Gargan, who joined Leicestershire Police in 1988, is regarded as a rising star in the force. He was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal in the 2012 New Year’s Honours List.
Earlier this year, he criticised leading crime novelists for their portrayal of the police and urged them to create more balanced and sober characters than hard-drinking mavericks.

"Once someone stings me I just close the door and find it hard to be friends with them again," Lydia, who is now single, continued.
Speaking exclusively to us at Lauren Pope's fashion collection launch, she added: "I’m hoping she doesn’t come back to be honest. We haven’t spoken and that says a lot really."
Lydia and Amy quickly drifted when rumours surfaced that Arg and the red head hooked up at an ITV party.
She has since moved on and dated colleague Tom Kilbey, who is now rumoured to be seeing Lindsay Lohan, for over a year.
Lyds is now spending time alone and also told us: "I’m really not looking for a relationship, I’ve done about a year and half of having fun and being single. However, I wouldn’t rule it out because if someone swept me off my feet I wouldn’t say no."

'Your teeth were offside' Hilarious memes fill Twitter after England loss as Luiz Suarez hits the Headlines#TheElitePartyInJuly #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

HE broke the hearts of a nation when a haul of two goals left England's World Cup hopes hanging by a thread.

But Twitter users were able to see the funny side of the Three Lions' loss to Uruguay as they posted hilarious tweets on the social networking site.

Shortly after Suarez scored his first goal one users posted a picture of a burning building and joked it was live images from the striker's UK house.

The witty tweet, from the Coupe du Monde 2014 account, received an incredible 2,278 retweets and was favourited almost 400 times.

While another post should a picture of the 27-year-old goal machine in training with the caption: "Luis Suarez your teeth were offside".

Another tweet, by the BBC Sporf spoof account, showed a picture of The Simpsons characters staring at the camera.

Alongside the picture was the caption: "#ThatMomentWhen Luis Suarez returns to the Liverpool dressing room next season."

The tweet, posted after the final whistle in last night's match, was retweeted 9,681 times and favourited 4,434 times.
Another post from the account, which has more than 673,000 followers, should a picture on an ugly looking large toothed animal.

Alongside the picture was the caption: "BREAKING: Luis Suarez celebrates his goal."

The tweet, which was posted after Suarez scored his first goal on 39 minutes, was retweeted more than 11,000 times.
Other pictures, presumably posted by Uruguay fans, hailed Suarez as a King with one doctored picture showing him celebrating his goal with the Queen.

Another tweet, using the iconic British 'Keep Calm' poster, had Suarez in the background with the caption: "Don't keep calm Suarez is here".

The 2-1 loss to Uruguay means England will be relying on other teams to falter for them to get through to the knockout stage.
Roy Hodgson's side will be hoping Italy beat Costa Rica this afternoon.

Then they need the Azzurri to beat the South Americans in the final game of Group D and England need to comfortably win against Costa Rica.

If the results go their way England could go through on goal difference but if Costa Rica and Italy draw today the Three Lions will be knocked out.
