CALUM CHAMBERS has warned Southampton, Arsenal and Liverpool that he has other offers if a career in football doesn't work out.
But it seems that the youngster's appeal extends beyond his footballing abilities.
Chambers posted a photo on Twitter today of a casting call for clothing store Abercrombie & Fitch and joked he could follow it up "in case things don't work out".
Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for Chambers as they sought a replacement for Bacary Sagna and could yet rekindle their interest even if they land Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle as expected.
The best thing to do would be to get a youngster like Calum Chambers from Southampton.
And last month Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson urged Brendan Rodgers to make a move for Chambers to compete with Glen Johnson.
He told the Liverpool Echo: "If I were Liverpool I would still want to hold on to [Johnson]. At the moment there are very few players available in that position that are actually better than him.
"The best thing to do would be to get a youngster like Calum Chambers from Southampton. Give Johnson another year and allow someone like Chambers to really compete and push him for a place in the starting XI."
Indeed, it seems there is no shortage of suitors for Chambers footballing talents and that he is very unlikely to need to fall back on a career in retail for quite some time yet.
