AFTER a week from hell sacked Manchester United manager David Moyes can be forgiven for needing time to himself.

Gloomy Moyes, who turned 51 on Friday, looked distinctly short of birthday cheer as he exercised alone on the sand near his swanky holiday home in Florida, USA.

Not even a reported £3.5million pay-off – bringing his total earnings to £7m for 10 months at Old Trafford – could put a smile on the Scot’s face.

Moyes, who later had dinner with wife Pamela, stopped to answer a number of calls and texts.

A British holidaymaker who spotted him said: “He looked like he had a lot of troubles.

"He kept making lots of phone calls – I hope for his sake he was lining up another job.”

Meanwhile, his former players and interim manager Ryan Giggs celebrated a 4-0 victory over Norwich on Saturday.
