Former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan leads the way for the Sexiest Female category

THIS year's British Soap Awards is set to be a big highlight on the TV calendar – as all of our favourite on-screen characters will be going head-to-head for a prestigious gong at next month's ceremony.
Hollyoaks leads the nominations list  – with the channel 4 drama being up for a staggering 20 gongs including best soap and storyline.

Mark Wright's fiancĂ©e– who has claimed the title over the past five years – is set to compete for the final time, against her fellow co-star Georgia May Foote, EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa and Hollyoaks beauties Jennifer Metcalfe and Jorgie Porter.
After taking part in one of the most dramatic story lines in Coronation's Street history, Julie Hesmonhalgh, who played Hayley Crooper, leads the nominations for Best Actress.
Earlier this year, soap fans saw Julie's character Hayley say her final farewell to husband Roy by ending her own life after battling pancreatic cancer.
Meanwhile, Albert Square's Janine Butcher – who is played by Charlie Brooks – has been nominated for Villain of the year alongside Emmerdale's Dominic Power, who plays the ruthless Cameron Murray.
