Courteney Cox's ex releases a statement after the birth of his first son

DAVID Arquette and girlfriend Christina McLarty have welcomed their first son together.
Naming their little tot Charlie West, the proud Hollywood star and his partner couldn't wait to share the birth news with everyone.

According to People magazine, the proud parents welcomed their baby boy – who weighed in at a healthy 8lbs 7oz – on Monday 28th April.
A spokesman for David revealed: "Mum, dad and baby are doing well. They appreciate all of your well wishes and thank you for respecting their privacy at this time."

Baby Charlie will join big sister Coco, nine, who David has with ex-wife Courteney Cox.
The Scream actor and Christina – who have been on and off since 2011 –  confirmed they were expecting in November 2013.

Having already had a baby, the 42-year-old told the magazine he wasn't worried about baby number two.
"I’ve done it once so there’s not that fear that a first-time parent has because you just don’t know what to expect," David said
Adding: "You have to have a lot of faith that you will be able to keep them safe and not mess them up too much."
