HE HAS landed the coveted role of Christian Grey in the upcoming movie adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, but Jamie Dornan has joked that he is ready to take on a character that doesn't get his kicks from tying women to things.

The actor, who also recently played the role of a serial killer who prayed on young women in The Fall, made the admission in an interview with The Guardian.
Speaking about his knot-tying skills, he said: "There are a couple of classic knots I know now and I've put them to good use far too many times recently.
"In fact I'd like to do a job where I don't have to tie women to beds."

The 32-year-old will star alongside Dakota Johnson in the film, which is based on the novel franchise by E.L. James, and will no doubt see his star status catapulted into the A-list as a result.
However, it hasn't all been plain sailing for the former Calvin Klein model, who admitted in the same interview that he had suffered years of disappointment before landing on his feet.
"Although it looks like I've only been acting a few years, we're talking hundreds and hundreds of failed auditions. I look back on it now and I don't know how anyone gets through the rejection," he revealed before admitting that it was his modelling jobs that meant he could carry on auditioning time after time.

"I was lucky. If I hadn't been getting paid to model I definitely would have stopped. I would fly off, do a shoot here and there, get paid well, then go back to preparing – and failing – for auditions and meetings."
And despite finally making the big time, the father-of-one - who tied the knot with her long-term partner Amelia Warner last year - revealed that he finds the attention surrounding his role "ridiculous."
In facts, he confessed that he would rather be "playing gold and changing nappies" than rush into another film after Fifty Shades hits the cinemas.
"The whole thing's ridiculous. It's just all a bit silly the way it works," he added in his interview with the newspaper.

"I think I could lose my mind. Right now I don't need to work if there's nothing that I want to do. I've done three jobs back to back."
Adding: "Let's see how they are received. If there's nothing I want to do, I'll just play golf and change nappies."
Fifty Shades Of Grey is due for release on February 14, 2015.
