The search is on for United's successor following Moyes' sacking yesterday, with Ryan Giggs taking temporary charge of the team until the end of the season.

Dutch coach Louis van Gaal is the heavy favourite for the job, now an ODDS-ON price with ALL leading bookmakers to be the next United boss.

And former Holland international Ronald de Boer, who van Gaal managed at Ajax, Barcelona and the Netherlands, insists he has all the qualities for the role.

"I think it will be an excellent choice," de Boer told Sky Sports.

"He has all the qualities and skills to run a difficult club like Man United.

"You need a manager to have a vision and be adaptable. To change the team with new players, young players and fresh players and he has a very good eye for talent."
