A POLICE car was caught on camera blasting out a rap song titled "Sound of da Police" while on patrol.
The 90s rap classic, which is highly critical of the police, can be heard playing from a patrol vehicle in the centre of Chelmsford, Essex.
The iconic line "woop, woop, it's the sound of the police" can be heard repeatedly in the 15 second video, which was uploaded to YouTube this week.
The song, by rapper KRS-One includes disapproving lines such as "The real criminals are the C-O-P".

It also criticises the use of guns in American policing, saying: "The officer has the right to arrest, and if you fight back they put a hole in your chest".
It also highlights problems with racism, violence and comparisons to slavery within the institution.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We are aware of the video and are trying to find out whether this is an Essex Police car and when it was taken, because there is no date on this video."
