BAYERN MUNICH star Toni Kroos is set to decide between Real Madrid and Barcelona after Spain's two biggest sides sent representatives out to the World Cup in Brazil, but Chelsea and Manchester United remain hopeful of hijacking the move for the Germany playmaker.
The same paper had earlier reported that Kroos had opted to join Carlo Ancelotti in the Spanish capital, but it now appears that Barcelona are keen to land his signature after losing both Cesc Fabregas and the legendary Xavi.
Pep Guardiola and Bayern are refusing to cash in on Kroos, and the midfielder will have to wait until 2015 before he can officially pen a deal with any side.
However, he is free to strike verbal agreements, and both Chelsea and United will attempt to persuade him that a move to England would be more challenging and exciting than a switch to Spain.
