The shamed Australian artist and presenter attends Southwark Crown Court before being sent to jail

ROLF Harris has been sentenced to five years and nine months behind bars for a string of sex offences.
He is expected to serve half of this time behind bars and be released on licence.
The artist and presenter was found guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault at Southwark Crown Court on Monday.
The sentence was handed down after the 84-year-old's barrister insisted that the Aussie star was on "borrowed time" and that his frail wife, Alwen, depended on him as a carer.

His four victims' ages ranged between seven and 19. One was a childhood friend of Rolf's daughter, Bindi.
This morning, Rolf took the unusual step of travelling by boat to court from his home in Bray, Berkshire, in order to avoid the paparazzi.
Alwen, was not with him, but Bindi and Rolf's niece, Jenny, were at the sentencing.

The Animal Hospital and Rolf's Cartoon Club host had previously been warned by Mr Justice Sweeney that he was likely to face time behind bars for his crimes.
The judge pointed out today that had Rolf's crimes have been more recent – they happened between 1968 and 1986 – then he would have faced a more severe sentence.
Police are currently deciding whether to pursue more claims of abuse in the UK, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
Rolf, who painted the Queen and performed at her diamond jubilee concert, has been stripped of his BAFTA fellowship and also risks losing his CBE.
