Confident Leicester feel just champion as Pearson plans for Premier League bow #CarryGobySeanKellz #FutureGroupNG via @i_amreginaldjr

LEICESTER did not get to rejoice in the success of promotion after their Premier League elevation was confirmed on a day they were not playing - so Dean Hammond is desperate for a night of celebration tomorrow at Bolton.

The former Southampton midfielder is desperate for Burnley not to lose at home to Wigan today so victory at the Reebok Stadium will allow his men to bask in the glory.
"We'd love to do it ourselves. When we got promoted it was a good experience because we played on the Friday night and won and then were promoted on the Saturday," said Hammond.
"But it will be nice to do it ourselves so we can all celebrate together.
"It will be great to win it. You want to be the best team in the league and we deserve to be the best team in the league this season.
"It's a dream, everyone wants to get into the Premier League. We've worked so hard for it and have been promoted. We now want to win it - be champions, enjoy the summer and start the hard graft next season."
Dave Nugent's 68th-minute angled finish was enough to seal a club record 28th win of the campaign, a match where Leicester strayed from their usual 4-4-2 system to play a five-man midfield which Hammond was part of.

It was only his sixth league start for his new club since his move in September and he could have a bigger role next term if Nigel Pearson decides 4-5-1 is the way to go on a regular basis in the top flight.
"It has been nice to get some game time," he said. "I enjoy playing, I've been on the bench most of the season. It has been frustrating as every player wants to play. But the boys in the team have shown they deserve to be by their performances and the amount of games we've won.
"It's hard, sometimes you have to accept that and wait for your chance.
"We've changed shape a few times this season and you have to adapt. That will probably happen more in the Premier League next season but that's something we can adapt to.
"I have no idea what formation we will play next season, we are a strong 4-4-2 team. Sometimes for certain games we will have to adapt.
"The gaffer knows what he is doing, his knowledge of the game is great and he wants us to win every game. He wants us to win all three games, he keeps us motivated."

QPR's disappointing afternoon was confirmed when Benoit Assou-Ekotto was sent off for two bookable offences.
Nevertheless, a play-off place of their own will still be sealed if they can draw at home to Watford today, giving Harry Redknapp a first ever experience of the English end-of-season lottery.
"I've done most things in football but in terms of play-off football it will be a new experience for me," he said.
