We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again
New faces joining the original cast is 50-year-old Andy Serkis, best known as Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as British TV actress Daisy Ridley, and Irish star Domhnall Gleeson.
British actor Anthony Daniels, 68, who has played C-3PO in all six Star Wars movies, tweeted last night: "Keeping the secret in front of y'all was the hardest act I ever did."
And director J.J. Abrams added: "We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again.
"We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."
