ARSENE WENGER will this week finally sign his new contract but admits that Arsenal will have to buy at least three players if they are to build on the success of winning the FA Cup and mount a serious title challenge next season.
But while Arsenal paraded their silverware through the streets of Islington yesterday, now attention turns to strengthening the squad.
And with Bacary Sagna and Lukasz Fabianski on their way out of the Emirates exit door, Wenger wants at least three new faces in before the start of next season.
Express Sport understands a striker is a priority, with three names under consideration.
Real Madrid's Karim Benzema is a long-term target, with a £30million bid in the pipeline.
Liverpool and Everton target Wilfried Bony could prove a cheaper option for Wenger though, should Swansea be pushed into a sale.
Benzema's Real team-mate Angel Di Maria is a £40m wing option with the Argentine ace reportedly ready to quit the Bernabeu.
Wenger has lined up potential replacements for Sagna and Fabianski too, in Nancy goalkeeper Paul Nardi and Toulouse right-back Serge Aurier.
