ED Miliband’s attempts to prove he is in touch with ordinary Britons failed spectacularly yesterday when he admitted that he is more interested in American politics and baseball.

The revelations will add to the concern among Labour MPs that Mr Miliband is out of touch with voters.

He has faced criticism from leading members of his shadow cabinet that he is “weird” and was accused of being “out of touch with reality” for not knowing the price of an ordinary weekly shop.
In an interview with Buzzfeed, Mr Miliband said: “I don’t read much British news.
"You get a lot of advice in the newspapers about what you should do.
"It’s much more important to follow your own path.”
