Leader Marine Le Pen told a crowd of cheering supporters: “Tonight is a massive rejection of the European Union. What is happening in France signals what will happen in all European countries – the return of the nation.”
Right-wing parties also polled strongly in Denmark, Austria and Italy as voters protested against Europe’s political elite.

German TV was last night predicting that the Hitler apologists of the National Democratic Party would win at least one seat. Greece’s fascist Golden Dawn party will also have at least one MEP.
