'England rules oKKK!' Fans express concerns about Asda's wearable World Cup flag #BringBackOurGirls #Entertain9jar via @myentertain9jar

SUPERMARKET giants Asda have defended a "wearable England flag" it has launched in the run up to the World Cup, after fans criticised it for resembling a Ki Klux Klan outfit.

The St George's Cross costs £3 and features a hood that Asda said would enable supporters to stay dry despite the unpredictable British weather.
But fans quickly took to Twitter to express their concerns about the similarities between the product and the hoods worn by the racist US organisation the Ku Klux Klan, also known by its initials 'KKK'.
One user called Kieran posted a picture of himself on his @KieranCPhoto account, writing: "Asda are selling wearable England flags, they look dodgy to say the least..."

Another user called Simon replied on his @HungryHatter account: "'ENGLAND RULES OKKK' Honestly, do Asda simply not bother to see how these things look when worn? *sigh*"
The flag, which is now labelled as 'out of stock' on Asda's website, has been described in the product description as a "unique wearing flag!"
A spokeswoman for Asda said: "We know there's chatter on Twitter about our wearable World Cup flags, but it's simply a flag with a hood - nothing more, nothing less.
"We opted for a hood on our wearable England and Brazilian flags as you never know what the British weather will bring.
"We want customers to get behind the team without getting wet."
