Shaw is the subject of a £27m bid from United after new boss Louis Van Gaal gave the deal the green light.

But with the move stalling, Chelsea boss Mourinho is ready to hijack his rivals with a swoop for Shaw.

According to reports, the Blues have enquired about the 18-year-old's availability.

Shaw is a boyhood Chelsea fan but was thought to be keen on a switch to Old Trafford.

However, the left-back is adamant any transfer speculation will not distract him from the World Cup in Brazil.

"No not at all," he said. "I am away with England and that is all I am focused on."
