Tottenham crashed to a 2-0 defeat against West Ham in a game billed as the P45 derby.
But Sherwood doesn't believe anything has been decided yet.
"I've got to talk to the chairman at end of the season," he said in his post-match interview.
"It's a shame that we haven't won today but that can't affect a club like Tottenham's decision whether to keep me or not.
"If a club like Tottenham, which is a giant club, are relying on two or three games at the end of the season to know whether I'm good enough to take them forward, then we've got a serious problem."
Sherwood also lauded Hugo Lloris for his string of fine saves, adding: "Hugo was top class. He keeps his consistency, his level of professionalism and his performance was of the highest level."
