THE cast of the new Star Wars film has been announced – and it looks like it's going to be packed with young, hot British actors.
Attack The Block star John Boyega, and Casualty's Daisy Ridley are among the newcomers to Episode VII, which starts filming next month at Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire.
Irish About Time actor Domhnall Gleeson will also have a key role, along side Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit star Andy Serkis.
They'll join Girls actor Adam Driver and Inside Llewyn Davis hottie Oscar Isaac, along with many stars of the original trilogy.
Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) and Kenny Baker (R2-D2), will all reprise their roles for the sequel to Return Of The Jedi, set 30 years after the death of Darth Vader.
Veteran Swedish actor Max von Sydow has also been cast.
Earlier this year, producers of the new trilogy held open auditions for new talent to join the films. There is no word on whether any of the cast came through the auditions, or when further cast members will be released.
But it looks as though rumoured names including Zac Effron and Saoirse Ronan will not be appearing this time around.
Lost and Star Trek director JJ Abrams is in charge of the Lucasfilm project, which is set for release on 18th December 2015.
