PEACHES Geldof's youngest son Phaedra turned one SIX DAYS AGO – just three days after his tragic mother's funeral.
The toddler is thought to have been by the mum-of-two's side when she was discovered by police at her home in Wrotham, Kent, just over a fortnight ago. She was 25.
Since Peaches' "sudden and unexplained" death, which is still being investigated, Phaedra has been staying with his dad, Thomas Cohen, and his older brother Astala, 23 months. The family have been spending time at the Kent home of Peaches' father, Sir Bob Geldof.
As if today's date wasn't poignant enough for the grieving Geldof family, it would have also been the 55th birthday of Paula Yates – Peaches' mother and Phaedra's grandmother – who died in 2000, following a heroin overdose.
Speaking about her mum and son sharing a birthday, Peaches once commented: "I was pretty amazed and had to smile. I couldn't help feeling mum must have had a hand in it."
Sir Bob, who also had daughters Fifi and Pixie with Paula before they split in 1996, previously described Peaches as the "wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us".
Peaches' funeral, at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence Church in Davington, Kent, was attended by celebrities including Kate Moss, Nick Grimshaw and Alexa Chung.
The results of a toxicology test are expected in the coming days, after an initial post-mortem examination proved inconclusive. An inquest into the death is then likely to take place.
Our thoughts are with the Geldof family at this sad time.
