THIS is the shocking moment a careless woman was spotted driving ten miles down the middle of a busy motorway while reading a BOOK.

Builder Andrew Stonham was driving home on the M1 in Leicestershire when he saw the outrageous act. 
He claimed the woman, driving alone in a Nissan Micra, had a book spread across her steering wheel and was driving at around 70mph.

It's dangerous. We need to name and shame people like this.

Mr Stonham, 28, who was a passenger in a colleague's vehicle at the time, said: "We saw her about 200 yards back and my friend said he thought something was up.
"We caught up with her but we were struggling to keep up in the central lane. It's not even like she was in the slow lane.
"We were beeping at her and I was waving at her out of the window. She finally looked over, smiled and waved before carrying on as normal."
Mr Stonham, from Kirkby, Nottingham, and his colleague witnessed the incident near junction 25 between 3.30pm - 4.00pm last Wednesday.
"We're on the motorway all the time and we see people eating or putting on make-up, stuff like that, but this was unbelievable," he added.
"It's dangerous. We need to name and shame people like this."
