LIVERPOOL, Arsenal and Chelsea could face competition from Napoli for Mario Balotelli this summer if Diego Maradona gets his way.

Balotelli is set to leave Milan before the start of next season after the club's hierarchy lost patience with the enigmatic strikers antics both on and off the field.

Milan are still publicly insisting that Balotelli is not for sale but reports in Italy suggest that privately the club has called time on the 23-year-old's stay at the San Siro.

Meanwhile, Balotelli is believed to have grown tired of the racism he regularly experiences in Serie A and would be open to a return to England.

And while Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea would all love to capitalise on Balotelli's uncertain future, Maradona has alternative plans.

If ever there was a problem with Mario I'll take care of it personally to make sure it goes well.

If Balotelli is open to remaining in Italy, Maradona wants the former Manchester City striker to plump for Napoli.

He said: "It would be the perfect place for him.

"He is an exceptional player and he would be no problem to manage.
