CESC FABREGAS has been put up FOR SALE by Barcelona.
The Spanish international has made 46 appearances for the La Liga runners-up this season but has come in for heavy criticism from the club's fans.
And with reports in Spain claiming Fabregas has been put up for sale, United and Arsenal are on red alert.
Madrid-based sports paper Marca claim the 27-year-old will be moved on this summer.
They do stress the midfielder may not necessarily leave the club, but is available for sale.
United boss Louis Van Gaal is keen on Fabregas but has other targets in mind.
Arsenal remain interested in signing their former captain having been almost forced into his £35m departure in 2011.
