Sherwood, who replaced Andre Villas-Boas in December, started well in his first managerial position, winning five of his first six games in charge.
But Spurs are close to finishing the season outside of a European qualification spot, leading to speculation over his job security.
Reports suggest Sherwood is set to be replaced in the summer, with Ajax boss Frank de Boer a favourite to take over.

However, Allardyce has praised the Sherwood’s work so far ahead of their clash at Upton Park on Saturday.
"In Tim Sherwood's situation he's proven that he can handle the job and he's learning as he's going on," the Hammers boss said.
"Spurs have done well under him."
Tottenham have revealed that there has been no formal approach made for De Boer's services.
