The home, in Sandwich, Kent, comes with three cottages in the 3.5 acre grounds and was designed by the famous architect Sir Edward Lutyens.
Dom said: "We've done a hell of a lot to it - one cottage had a tree growing in the sitting room, walls and failings had collapsed in the others.
"The garden was just trees, hedges and weeds."
The couple have recently dropped the asking price from £4.5m.
Dom added: "We are getting old, a lot of out friends are dying and we're keen to spend time with the kids and holiday.
"It's sad to leave. It's been a fabulous part of our life but we're keen to crack on. We're currently considering possible future shows - we've agreed between us to do it only if it's fun."
