VALENCIA are attempting to hi-jack Manchester United and Liverpool's attempts to sign Benfica duo Ezequiel Garay and Rodrigo.

Sources in Spain claim that Valencia's new financial muscle will enable them to pip both Manchester United and Liverpool in their pursuit of the £50m pair.
Singaporean businessman Peter Lim was recently announced as Valencia's new owner and immediately pledged over £342m to clear his side of debts and vowed to invest heavily in the transfer market.
The news will come as bitter blow to both Louis Van Gaal and Brendan Rodgers, after the pair had been gearing up to raid the Europa League runners-up.
