Januzaj was initially eligible to represent Kosovo, Albania, Turkey, Serbia and potentially England before declaring his allegiance to the country of his birth.
The 19-year-old who only made his league debut for United back in September, delighted his manager Marc Wilmots.
And with Christian Benteke ruled out of the World Cup, Belgium coach Marc Wilmots has hinted Januzaj will be given a chance to stake his claim for a spot in the squad.

The truth will come from the pitch. He'll have to win his place like everyone
Marc Wilmots
"The truth will come from the pitch. He'll have to win his place like everyone," Wilmots told a Belgian newspaper.
"What is sure is that the boy has a very interesting profile in the absence of injured Christian Benteke: as a reserve for Manchester United he often played as a number nine.
"His versatility is an advantage."
