HOLLYWOOD star Drew Barrymore has given birth to her second child, the actress's representative confirmed this evening.

The 39-year-old, who made her name in classic children's film E.T, has given birth to her second daughter Frankie Barrymore Kopelman.

It is the second child her art consultant husband Will Kopelman have had together.

She gave birth to her first child Olive Barrymore Kopelman on September 26 2012.

Speaking to People magazine, the couple said: "Happy to announce that today we are the proud parents of our second daughter, Frankie Barrymore Kopelman.

"Olive has a new little sister, and everyone is healthy and happy!"

Drew and her husband tied the knot when she was six months pregnant with her first child in June 2012.

The couple announced they were expecting their second child in November 2013.

Speaking earlier this month, Drew told E! News about the lessons she learnt since she first became a parent.

She said: "I hope I don't stress as much with the next kid, because all I cared about—and all I do care about—is my kids' safety. I mean, I just do.

"You have two eyes on them at all times and then you start wondering with the second, how it's going to work when you have to separate your eyes and focus on two.

"I just think about all the women who have done this throughout history, and if they did it, I can do it."
