However, the strategic placing might have been for the best, after the 43-year-old was pictured sporting some pretty dodgy fake tan as she headed to the London studios this morning.
Hinting that she might have been in a bit of a rush the night before, the journalist - who made her debut on the new ITV show on Monday alongside her team Charlotte Hawkins, Sean Fletcher and Ben Shepherd - showed off streaky, orange feet which were clearly visible in a pair of nude flat shoes.

Yesterday, it emerged that the show averaged just 800,000 viewers, peaking at 1.2million, compared to rival show BBC Breakfast, which drew in 1.5million, peaking at 2.1million.She showed off her faux pas in a pair of nude ballet pumps [WENN]The launch of Good Morning Britain also failed to beat the first-morning figure for its predecessor 'Daybreak' which pulled in one million viewers when it began in 2010.
The show received mixed reviews after its first show on Monday, with many viewers taking to Twitter to air their views - both good and bad.
