THE infamous 'Chosen One' banner that came to embody David Moyes' woes at Manchester United could be housed in a museum.
David Moyes lost his job after just 11 months in charge of the Red Devils with the owners losing patience with the club's alarming decline.
The sign which was used to hang at the Stretford End at Old Trafford is expected to be removed from the ground before United's next home game against Norwich on Saturday.
According to the BBC, a donation could be made which could see the banner making its way to the National Football Museum in Manchester.
The fans have been mutinous in recent weeks and it seems they will be waving goodbye to the banner.
A National Football Museum spokesman said: "Every object within our collection needs to fit within our strict collections guidelines.
"We are offered objects on a regular basis and, while we are always grateful for these offers, we often have to decline for reasons of space and because it doesn't fit within our guidelines."
However, the banner has already generated interest on ebay, with a bid of over £15,000 placed for the historic memorabilia.
