Bafta 2014: Susanna Reid and Olivia Colman lead the way on the red carpet #BringBackOurGirls #FutureGroupNG via @myentertain9jar

BRITAIN'S biggest television stars have hit the red carpet ahead of the 2014 Bafta television awards.

Stars from both sides of the Atlantic headed to the Theatre Royal on Drury Lane for the star-studded event.
Olivia Colman, who has been nominated for best actress for her role as Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller in the ITV hit Broadchurch, said she will be "so pleased" if the series wins anything.
Colman looked every inch a star in a stunning floor length green gown.
Strictly Come Dancing contestant and Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid also kept it simple in a beautiful pink dress which showed off her toned arms.

The show's host Graham Norton, who is also up for an award, looked typically dapper as he posed for pictures with Mary Berry from the Great British Bake Off.
The night will also see legendary broadcaster Cilla Black honoured with a special award in recognition of her contribution to the industry over her 50-year career.

Speaking on the red carpet she said: "I'm very honoured, very flattered, the Baftas are our Oscars – I know I'm getting the award and I'm terrified."
Southcliffe star Shirley Henderson, who is up for the supporting actress award, looked resplendent in a flowing black gown complete with a pearl necklace and sparkling clutch bag.

Sherlock and The Hobbit actor Martin Freeman and his actress wife Amanda Abbington looked were also in attendance.
Abbington, who stars alongside her partner and Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock, wore a high neck gown with a matching bow and bag.

Breaking Bad hunk Aaron Paul brought a touch of Hollywood to proceedings while Inbetweeners star Emily Atack caught the eye in a sexy black pantsuit.
Made In Chelsea's Millie Mackintosh and her rapper husband Professor Green were glowing in the London sunshine with Mackintosh looking typically stylish in a threaded and patterned dress while Green wore a sharp blue suit.
