BRITAIN'S biggest television stars have hit the red carpet ahead of the 2014 Bafta television awards.
Olivia Colman, who has been nominated for best actress for her role as Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller in the ITV hit Broadchurch, said she will be "so pleased" if the series wins anything.
Colman looked every inch a star in a stunning floor length green gown.
Strictly Come Dancing contestant and Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid also kept it simple in a beautiful pink dress which showed off her toned arms.
I'm very honoured, very flattered, the Baftas are our Oscars – I know I'm getting the award and I'm terrified
The night will also see legendary broadcaster Cilla Black honoured with a special award in recognition of her contribution to the industry over her 50-year career.
Southcliffe star Shirley Henderson, who is up for the supporting actress award, looked resplendent in a flowing black gown complete with a pearl necklace and sparkling clutch bag.
Abbington, who stars alongside her partner and Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock, wore a high neck gown with a matching bow and bag.
Made In Chelsea's Millie Mackintosh and her rapper husband Professor Green were glowing in the London sunshine with Mackintosh looking typically stylish in a threaded and patterned dress while Green wore a sharp blue suit.
