The fearsome Ivory Coast striker, who lifted the Turkish Cup earlier this week with Gala announced he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
The 36-year-old, whose final act in a Chelsea shirt came when he struck the winning penalty in the 2012 Champions League final in Munich, would be welcome back with open arms by the Blues faithful were he to go back to Stamford Bridge.
Reports have circulated in the past few months that Drogba could return to Chelsea in a player/coaching capacity.
But his time at Gala is nigh after he announced his impending exit via Instagram.
