First Female survivor of the Boko Haram abduction visits washington, now a student in US as she tells her story


Deborah Peters, a teenage girl originally from the village of Chibok, where hundreds of her contemporaries and friends were recently taken captive, is the second known survivor, and the first female survivor, of Boko Haram.
She recently visited Washington and attended a conference at the Hudson institute. She is now a student in the United States.

In a short speech she gave, she said that she hopes the Chibok girls will gather courage from her story. See a video from the conference below
