Springer spaniels Tiko and Jake, who work with the UK Border Force – seize millions every year. The smell on banknotes’ ink directs them to crooks who try to bring large amounts of cash via Dover.
Eight-year-old Tiko’s biggest find was £500,000 in a man’s backpack. Handler Jamie Wright 31, said: “He’s the best dog we’ve ever had.”
Jake, aged two, and his handler Stacey Bianchi, 32, once found £300,000 under the bonnet of a car.
