Latest on Big Brother 2014: Seven things we can tell you about this summer’s series

OK! Online's BB mole, along with host Emma Willis and BBOTS presenter Rylan Clark, drop some very heavy hints

BIG Brother 2014 is only 11 sleeps away. And here's what we've learned about this year's series – dubbed Big Brother: Power Trip – so far…
1. It’s all about the POWER
A show insider told OK! Online: “This year, we wanted to really focus on what Big Brother is essentially about – power and control. We want to offer it to individuals, half the house, and even the viewers.”
The source added that different people – or groups of people – will be able to win power and use it to manipulate the house in a way that “only Big Brother has done in the past”.

2. The housemates will still be cut off from the outside world – but not all the time
“The house will always be a secure bubble but housemates can receive info from the outside world when BB sees fit,” said our mole.
“Big Brother will use technology to his advantage.”
3. It’s Hunger Games-meets-Minority Report
Emma Willis told OK! Online that the house will be "modern, with futuristic clean lines and technology. We've just seen pics and it's a bit like Minority Report”.
Both she and Rylan agreed that the show will also feel a bit Hunger Games.
“But without the death,” added Emma, helpfully.
4. There may be tablets and other gadgets in the house
“Power is knowledge, so there will be knowledge aids,” hinted our source. “We want to open up the house more than we have done in the past.”

5. The house is going to send its residents crazy
“I’ve seen pictures of the house and it’s very clinical,” admitted Rylan. “This house is very futuristic, very technical, so it keeps you on your toes because there's always something to look at, feel and touch.”
6. It’ll still be good old BB
The insider reassured OK! Online that show bosses won’t be “reinventing the wheel".
“The housemates won’t be a bunch of boffins just because there’s some gadgets in there,” said the source.
“They’ll still be typical Big Brother housemates from all walks of life."
7. The house has more surprises in store
"There are nooks and crannies and surprising elements to the house that will reveal themselves," promised our spy.
Bring. it. on.
Big Brother: Power Trip launches on Channel 5 at 9pm, Thursday, June 5
