SHE may have turned 45 earlier this year, but last night Mariah Carey proved that she can still give singers half her age a run for their money.

The mother-of-two posed up a storm in New York City's Times Square as she launched her 14th studio album, which is entitled 'Me. I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse'.
Arriving at the Manhattan location to crowds of screaming and adoring fans, Mariah was clearly loving the limelight and had worn the perfect dress for such an occasion.
Showing off her enviable curves in a floor-length black number, Mariah showed off plenty of cleavage thanks to the garment's plunging neckline.

She teamed the figure-hugging dress with a glowing tan and a pair of fingerless PVC gloves and black heels.
The singer wore her honey-coloured hair down in a loose wave and was grinning from ear-to-ear as she soaked up the atmosphere.
She completed her look with a platinum and diamond bracelet which she wore with a matching butterly ring in place of her wedding bling.
To support the launch of her new album, Times Square was adorned with billboards that featured the Mariah's album cover, which sees her bathed in a golden glow as she stands tall in just a gold crocheted swimsuit.

Earlier on in the day, Mariah explained the meaning behind the title of her new record in a video posted to social media, explaining that the back cover features the only self portrait she's even drawn - at the age of three and a half - which features the scribbled words 'Me. I am Mariah'.
"Please don't judge me for such a simplistic title. Come on, I was only three and a half!' she said. "It was a creative visualisation of how I saw myself with the purity of a child's heart, before it was ever broken.
"I've kept this drawing private for so long, but because this album is a reflection of some of the peaks and valleys that have made me who I am today, I've decided to share it with those of you who actually care and have been here for me through it all," the singer added.
