TOTTENHAM are set to announce the appointment of Tim Sherwood's successor in the next 48 hours.

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax coach Frank De Boer are locked in a tussle to assume the White Hart Lane hotseat.
Pochettino has been widely fancied to take over the reins, and guided Saints to a top eight finish last season.
Fresh reports indicate De Boer wants the job but chairman Daniel Levy will make up his mind this week.

Pochettino's representatives have also tried to persuade Levy that he is ready for a step up.
Former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was also considered but is no longer in the running for the job.
The 49-year-old is targeting a return to the Premier League as he feels he has unfinished business.
