BILLY Connolly has squashed rumours that a newly announced Scottish tour is his comedy farewell with a typically blunt response.
Billy now spends the majority of his time in New York [PH]When asked if he would retire, he declared: “What am I going to do? Look out the f****** window?”
The Big Yin, 71, is to kick off his new High Horse Tour with two nights at Aberdeen’s Music Hall before going on to Perth, Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow.Scotland’s most famous funnyman, who has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, recently sold off his Candacraig mansion in Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, and now spends most of his time in New York.He has just finished a sold-out tour of New Zealand, as well as warm-up gigs in Los Angeles and New York. And he recently completed work on his latest film, a comedy called Wild Oats, with Shirley MacLaine, Demi Moore and Jessica Lange. What am I going to do? Look out the f****** window

Connolly plays a con artist trying to gain access to merry widow MacLaine’s windfall of cash. But he is determined not to give up his live shows.A source said: “He is eagerly looking forward to performing in Scotland. Meantime, he has been doing his best to watch as many World Cup games as possible.“He does, of course, have a seat for life at Celtic Park with his name on it and he is hoping to take in a couple of games while he is on tour here.”Connolly will take the tour to Perth Concert Hall (October 1), Edinburgh Usher Hall (October 4, 5, 7 and 8), Dundee Caird Hall (October 11) and finally Glasgow SECC for a week from October 19.
