Pastor who married the Crazy Stupid Love singer to nightclub entrepreneur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, reveals inner secrets of the nuptials

THE pastor who married Cheryl to French playboy Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini has revealed what actually happened during her intimate wedding.
Pastor Devon R Ollivierre told the Daily Mirror newspaper that Kimberley Walsh's BFF tied the knot as the sun was setting on Mustique’s Macaroni Beach and the bride wore a stunning white dress fitted with a long, silky train.

The local Baptist leader, who is the head of the Spiritual and Baptist organisation of St Vincent and the Grenadines, performed the 30 minute service religious service in front of Cheryl's two guests – mum Joan Callaghan and the star's PA Lily England.

Speaking from his home on the neighbouring Caribbean island of Bequia, the Pastor said: “I married Cheryl last week. She was wearing a white dress with a train and her husband was wearing black pants and a white shirt.
“They looked incredible. It seemed intense. There were no tears and they didn’t seem nervous, it was very natural.
"With the way they were dressed, the white sand and the way they were speaking to each other, it was lovely.

“Despite being done on the open beach, it was very private. The beauty of it was that the sun was going down and the light was lovely.
The service lasted 30 minutes – and Cheryl’s mum Joan plus the star's PA Lily England looked on during the hush-hush nuptials.
“It was like a church ceremony on the beach. They seemed very in love the way they were reacting in front of me. The vows were short and at the end of the ceremony they kissed, there was a lot of passion. After the wedding, Cheryl said she had a great time. But there was no singing."
Despite Cheryl being one of the most famous entertainers in the world, the Pastor revealed he'd never heard of her.

“I came to understand she was a singer but I didn’t know who she was," he said.
"She told me she just wanted something modest.”
“All the things about God were in the ceremony, they didn’t ask to take anything out. They would say what I asked them to repeat – and at the end of the service, they said, ‘So help me God’.

“There is a part where you bless the bride and groom. I touched their foreheads with my finger and prayed.
“I am not concerned about people being famous or not famous, I am just concerned about people being married and staying together.
“I love to know the weddings I do are for that. It was a very special day.”
