This is definitely a huge feat for Reminisce.
The rapper was recently featured on Time Magazine’s website where he was named one of the seven World Rappers You Should Meet.
The article ‘Forget Eminem: World Rappers You Should Meet‘, which was published on July 12, focuses on seven interesting international rappers who are ‘increasingly at the center of the music scene’.
Reminisce is one Nigerian indigenous rapper who has succeeded in creating the perfect fusion between the English Language and Yoruba in his Hip Hop lyrics. Time Magazine’s recognition of Reminisce’s style is very impressive.
The Nigerian rapper of “Kako bi Chicken” fame was listed alongside Chord (Sweden), Salome MC (Iran), Bushido (Germany), Ogi (Brazil), Fabri Fibra (Italy) and Huckleberry P (Korea).
Of course, Reminisce is not the only indigenous Nigerian rapper who has mastered this perfect art of blending. Rappers like the late DaGrin, Olamide, Phyno, Raw, IllBliss, Ice Prince, Lord of Ajasa amongst others have also contributed to pushing indigenous hip hop forward in the country.
If there was any doubt as to music being Africa’s best export, this should drive home that point….. #PressPlay
