The Corrie couple are clearly good friends off-screen

 

KYM Marsh and Simon Gregson have worked together for years.

And Kym showed that the two are close friends off-screen when posted a cute snap with her co-star to her Twitter page, today.

The pic showed the two posing playfully with Simon pouting in a sun hat.

Kym had captioned it:  "Location all afternoon! Good job I'm wiv this fella!! "

The raven haired star has spoken of her hope that their two characters will remain together and even wed.

She said: "I always said I didn't want her to settle down, but now I would love to see her and Steve get married."

"I think it makes sense and it would be nice if they could have some longevity, rather than being one of those soap couples that splits up."

Maybe Kym's enthusiasm for on-screen romance has been inspired by her off-screen personal life.

She recently opened up to OK! magazine about her new relationship saying: "It's been three months. We've been spending a lot of time together and taking things slowly and seeing what happens," she said.

The 38-year-old went on to insist it's still early days but she's quite content with how things are going.

"It's too early to say. You've got to take your time with these things but I am happy," she beamed.
