MANCHESTER UNITED have been in contact with Wolfsburg over £15million-rated left-back Ricardo Rodriguez.

United have already splashed out £30m on England hotshot Luke Shaw but are set to lose Patrice Evra.

Evra is looking bound for Juventus despite only just signing a new one-year deal at Old Trafford.

And facing the prospect of only 18-year-old Shaw at left-back this season, United are looking at Switzerland international Rodriguez.

Liverpool and Tottenham are also interested in the 21-year-old, who impressed at the World Cup in Brazil.

Rodriguez's current club Wolfsburg are keen for a bidding war to break out among interested Premier League parties.

He is valued at £15m by the Bundesliga outfit but that price tag could be about to go up.
