Jay Brown walks in on the soap lothario in a test with the detective investigating Lucy Beale's murder

OVER the last month EastEnders fans have watched Max Branning successfully woo Detective Emma Summerhayes – the policewoman investing Lucy Beale's murder.
Whether or not the illicit romance is real or a ruse to throw the officer off the scent remains to be seen.

But despite knowing Max had a relationship with Lucy prior to her death, Emma is unable to stop the fling.
This could all be about to change as viewers will see Jay Brown – played Jby amie Borthwick – find the pair kissing after he walks into Max's house later this week.
Max begs Jay to keep what he's seen a secret, but only time will tell if the 20-year-old will reveal all to girlfriend Abi.
Talking about the scenes, Jamie told Inside Soap: "Jay wonders if Max is doing this just to keep Emma quiet, as we know what he is like.

"In the scene I filmed with Jake Wood [Max], it was great to be the authoritative figure for once. Normally, Max is chucking Jay about, so it felt lovely for the tables to be turned."

Meanwhile, Lucy Beale's murder case has another dramatic twist.
Jake Stone – who was charged with Lucy's death – is set to be released from prison after new evidence comes to light.
However viewers are rumoured to have to wait until next year to find out who killed Lucy.
