Sir Bob Geldof is now engaged to his long-term partner Jeanne Marine[PA]According to the Daily Mail, Jerry Hall revealed the couple's happy news as she is very good friends with 49-year-old Jeanne.
"Bob has proposed. She is over the moon. Jeanne Marine has been a rock and a tower of strength over this. I’m so excited for her I am bursting to tell someone," Jerry explained.

Mother-of-four Jerry was present at Peaches' funeral in Davington, Kent, last week.
Speaking at the Wellcome Book Prize ceremony in London, she added: "I’ve just got back from Texas and accompanied Jeanne to the funeral. It was, of course, terribly sad, but she told me that Bob had asked her to marry him out of the blue. I’m so happy for her. It makes you realise we all have to value what we have."

Sir Bob has since returned the compliment, and said of his fiancé: "Jeanne insisted on finding something lovable in this most unlovable of men. This creature at his most ugly, physically and spiritually. I was detestable."
