CHELSEA have launched a £16million bid for Fenerbahce striker and Nigeria World Cup star Emmanuel Emenike.

The 27-year-old has been in top form for his country after leading them past the group stages in Brazil, and despite only moving to Turkey a year ago from Spartak Moscow, is angling for a move to the Premier League.

 

Jose Mourinho is keen to add more firepower to his squad, and with Atletico Madrid's Diego Costa set for Stamford Bridge, the Special One also wants Emenike in west London.

Turkish newspaper Fanatik claims that a move to Chelsea is very much a reality for the powerful hitman, and add that Mourinho has already made a £16million bid for his services.

If true, Emenike will most definitely be showcasing his skills for the Blues after saying: "I have always dreamed of playing in England.

"If I get the opportunity to play in England - I wouldn't turn it down."
